Blue Sea 8257 AC Current Transformer [8257]

The Blue Sea Systems 8257 measures AC current through a transformer-style output rather than connecting the full monitored current directly to the meter. Its 100A AC/50mA AC ratio is intended for compatible Blue Sea AC ammeters and monitoring instruments. Use it in marine electrical monitoring installations where accurate current measurement is required within the supported range.

• 100A AC input rating: Supports AC current monitoring up to 100 amps.
• 50mA AC output: Provides the signal required by compatible AC ammeters for current display.
• Transformer-based sensing: Keeps the meter circuit separate from the primary AC current path.
• Marine monitoring application: Suits boat electrical systems that require AC current measurement.
• Blue Sea Systems model 8257: Provides a product-specific replacement or installation option for compatible monitoring equipment.

• What does the Blue Sea 8257 do?
It converts a measured AC current of up to 100A into a 50mA AC signal for a compatible ammeter.
• What type of meter is it designed for?
It is intended for use with compatible AC ammeters and monitoring instruments that accept a 50mA AC input.
• Is this an AC or DC transformer?
This model is specified for AC current measurement and is not a DC current shunt.
• What is the model number?
  The model number is 8257.
• Where is it commonly used?
It is commonly used in marine electrical systems, including boating applications requiring AC current monitoring.
