Lower receiver: AR-15 pocket-cut lowers only. Not compatible with CMMG .22 lowers or AR-9 lowers. Do not attempt.
BCG: Full-auto spec (M16-profile) BCG required. The Kabuto FRT will not function with a semi-spec BCG. Any full-auto spec carrier works.
Buffer: Minimum H2 buffer required — H3 recommended. A heavier buffer prevents bolt bounce and keeps the forced reset cycle clean. Browse compatible AR-15 buffers here.
Ammo: Full-power loads only. Underpowered ammunition will not cycle the carrier far enough to engage the forced reset mechanism.
Break-in period: Dry fire 10-20 cycles before live fire. If the FRT position is not cycling cleanly out of the box, shoot 1-2 magazines in semi-auto first — this is normal on all Kabuto-style FRTs and not a defect.
