The Stone Creek™ RS2 Emerger is one of the most effective and widely respected technical trout patterns ever developed. Originally designed for selective tailwater trout, the RS2 has earned a reputation as a must-have fly for anglers targeting trout feeding on emerging insects just beneath the surface.

Although commonly classified as an emerger, the RS2 is an incredibly versatile pattern capable of imitating emerging mayflies, midge pupae, ascending nymphs, and crippled adults during a wide range of hatch situations. Its slim profile, sparse construction, and natural appearance make it especially effective on pressured trout in clear water and technical fisheries.

Fishing Tips:
Fish just beneath the surface film during active hatches where trout are targeting emerging insects. Effective beneath a strike indicator, on a greased leader, or as part of a tandem nymph rig. A drag-free drift through feeding lanes, seams, and slow currents is often the most productive presentation.
