The HX400 is a handheld VHF radio designed for marine communication where water resistance, channel access, and clear audio matter. It includes USA, Canadian, and International marine channels, plus programmable LMR capability for users who need additional channel options through a Standard Horizon dealer. The display includes a low battery indicator, and the radio ships with a belt clip, cradle, and 110 VAC plus 12 VDC trickle chargers.

For routine boating, the dedicated weather functions and programmable scanning help keep important channels within reach. For noisy docks, vessels, and shore operations, the noise-cancelling microphone and internal speaker support more intelligible transmissions. The 3-year waterproof warranty adds long-term coverage for normal marine use.
