About BEAL

BEAL is a family-run rope maker built around the vertical world. Founded in 1951 in Vienne, in the Isère region of France, the brand’s climbing-rope story took off in the 1970s, and BEAL presented its first climbing rope in 1976 at the mountain show in Grenoble.

Today BEAL designs and manufactures ropes and vertical gear for climbers and professionals who work at height. Their line covers dynamic climbing ropes, semi-static ropes for rope access, and the hardware and textile gear that supports safe movement in the mountains.
