About Magnum Boots

Since 1982, Magnum has built performance footwear for the people who protect and serve. The brand was born at the FBI training center at Quantico when instructors asked for a lighter, more athletic tactical boot, and today Magnum outfits military, law enforcement, fire and rescue, security, and industrial professionals worldwide with tactical, uniform, duty, and safety-toe work boots.

Shop the full Magnum lineup at Lotz Outdoors, including the Stealth Force, Active Duty, Overwatch, Strike Force, and Precision families in 6 inch, 8 inch, side-zip, waterproof, steel toe, and composite toe configurations.

Magnum Boots FAQs

What kind of boots does Magnum make?

Magnum builds performance footwear for professionals: tactical and duty boots, military boots, uniform boots for law enforcement, fire and rescue boots, and safety-toe work boots. Signature families include Stealth Force, Active Duty, Overwatch, Strike Force, and Precision.

Are Magnum boots comfortable enough for long shifts?

Yes. Magnum boots are engineered around long-shift comfort with lightweight athletic construction, moisture-wicking linings, memory foam sockliners, compression molded EVA midsoles, and slip resistant X-Traction outsoles. Many wearers report all-day comfort straight out of the box after a short break-in.

Which Magnum boots are waterproof?

Look for the WP designation in the product name (for example, Stealth Force 8.0 SZ WP or Overwatch Low WP). Waterproof models use a sealed bootie membrane behind the upper to keep water out while still allowing the boot to breathe. Non-WP models are treated for water resistance but are not sealed.

Are Magnum boots safety-toe or metal-detector safe?

Both are available. Steel toe (ST) and composite toe (CT) options meet workplace safety standards, and many tactical models are built with non-metallic hardware and composite shanks for metal-detector-safe wear. Check each product page for the exact toe cap and shank spec.

How do I choose between 6 inch, 8 inch, and side-zip Magnum boots?

6 inch boots are lighter and more flexible for foot pursuits and warm-weather duty. 8 inch boots add ankle support and coverage for longer shifts, heavier loads, or rougher terrain. Side-zip (SZ) models let you get in and out quickly without unlacing, which is popular with patrol officers and EMS. Pick your height for the support you need and add SZ if fast on/off matters.
