About Walkstool

Walkstool is a Swedish invention that changed what a portable stool could be. First introduced in 1997 by Scandinavian Touch AB, Walkstool is the only three legged folding stool in the world with telescopic aluminium legs, a design that is patented and trademark protected. The stool was originally built for electricians and service technicians who needed a light, compact, heavy duty seat they could carry in a tool bag and use every day at job sites, and it quickly became a favorite for hunters, anglers, hikers, photographers, and anyone who spends real time outdoors.

The engineering is what sets Walkstool apart. Telescopic aluminium legs let a compact stool extend to a full ergonomic sitting height, then collapse to about a third of that length for the pack. Every Walkstool is tested at the Swedish Institute for Testing and Certification with load ratings from 150 kg on the Basic 50 up to 250 kg on the taller Comfort models. The Basic line uses a durable polyester seat and plastic feet for value focused buyers, while the Comfort line steps up to a mesh seat that is 40 to 80 percent larger and big rubber feet that resist sinking on wet grass and soft forest floor.

At Lotz Outdoors we carry Walkstool because it earns its place in the pack. Whether you are calling turkeys, sitting a duck blind, waiting for a rise on the river, or setting up a camera in the field, a Walkstool weighs almost nothing, sets up in seconds, and holds up for years. It is backed by a 24 month manufacturer warranty and made in Sweden.

Walkstool FAQs

What is Walkstool known for?

Walkstool is a Swedish invention and the only three legged folding stool in the world with telescopic aluminium legs. First introduced in 1997 by Scandinavian Touch AB, Walkstool has become the trusted portable seat for hunters, anglers, photographers, hikers, and outdoor professionals who need a lightweight stool that packs small and sets up in seconds.

How do Walkstool's telescopic legs work?

Every Walkstool uses telescopic aluminium legs that extend to full sitting height or lock at a lower position for uneven ground. This lets you carry a compact stool that still gives you an ergonomic sitting height when you set it up. Fold it down and it packs to about a third of its extended length so it fits in a daypack, tool bag, or hunting pack.

What is the difference between Walkstool Basic and Walkstool Comfort?

Walkstool Basic uses a polyester seat that is about 20 percent larger than a standard three legged stool, with plastic feet, and comes in 50 cm and 60 cm sitting heights. Walkstool Comfort uses a mesh seat that is 40 to 80 percent larger and adds bigger rubber feet that resist sinking in wet grass or soft forest floor, with 45 cm, 55 cm, 65 cm, and 75 cm options.

How much weight can a Walkstool hold?

Walkstool models are rated for loads from 150 kg (330 lbs) on the Basic 50 up to 250 kg (551 lbs) on the taller Comfort models. Every Walkstool is tested at the Swedish Institute for Testing and Certification, so the load ratings reflect real world use for hunters wearing gear, anglers with waders, and adults of any size.

Does Walkstool come with a warranty?

Walkstool is made in Sweden and comes with a 24 month manufacturer warranty against material and manufacturing defects, which exceeds the 12 month minimum required by Swedish law. Broken lower legs are usually considered misuse, but Walkstool sends replacement parts for normal defects. Lotz Outdoors supports the manufacturer warranty and can help you file a claim.
